Tiago & Ariane Wagner

Tiago Wagner coordinates BCMW’s work in Bolivia, Brazil, and Venezuela. He has pastored since 2009, graduating in theology from Word of Life Seminary in 2008 and studying biblical counseling with the Brazilian Association of Biblical Counselors. He initially sought a local partnership to bring biblical counseling training to southern Brazil; the demand that followed the first training grew swiftly across the country and into the rest of South America.

What Tiago loves most about BCMW is its cultural sensitivity: the training model’s core principles cross geographical and cultural lines without imposing a rigid, Westernized approach, equipping national pastors instead to minister faithfully within their own contexts. Watching Scripture heal hearts and strengthen leaders across radically different cultures remains one of the great joys of his ministry.

Tiago and his wife, Ariane, are shifting their ministry base from southern Brazil to São Paulo at the end of 2026 as their training work expands into more than twenty Brazilian states and neighboring countries. Tiago is also stepping down from eighteen years of local pastoral ministry to serve BCMW full time. They have three children.
