Nic & Amy Wassell

Nic Wassell coordinates BCMW’s work in Ethiopia. Born in Redlands, California, in 1979, he came to know Christ through a coworker’s witness while working in the medical field, and he later interned for a year at Crossroads Christian Church, where he met his wife, Amy. They married in 2006.

In 2014, Nic’s church, North Hills Christian Church in Vacaville, partnered with Great Commission Ministry Ethiopia to train pastors and church leaders in preaching, teaching, discipleship, and evangelism. That partnership grew into BCMW’s first Church Leadership Training modules in Addis Ababa and Harar, launched on April 25 through BCM Worldwide. Nic has served as Associate Pastor at North Hills since 2009, earning his ACBC certification in 2016 and a degree in Biblical Counseling from The Master’s University in 2021.

Nic wanted to combine missions and biblical counseling, and Ethiopia has given him the field to do both. He and Amy have three children: Abigail, Micah, and Asher.
