Madson & Meriellie Oliveira

Madson Oliveira serves BCMW as a pastor and biblical counselor in Maranhão, Brazil, currently pursuing a doctorate in Pastoral Ministry with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling at CPAJ-Mackenzie. He also holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Theology and pastors Igreja Cristã Evangélica do Cohatrac in São Luís.

In 2015, Madson left his career as a psychoanalyst after growing disillusioned with the method, and he devoted himself fully to biblical counseling after encountering Pastor Jayro Cáceres and the writings of Jay Adams, Wayne Mack, Heath Lambert, and John Street. In 2020, he and his wife, Meriellie, founded the Teléios School of Counseling, a ministerial training program equipping biblical counselors across northern and northeastern Brazil through lectures, courses, and mentoring, both online and in person.

Madson has authored several works in Portuguese, including Don’t Be Anxious and Depression and Biblical Counseling. He and Meriellie have two children, Alice and Théo.
