Dr. Don & Elizabeth Roy

Dr. Don and Elizabeth Roy serve BCMW as missionaries to Madagascar, following years teaching Church Leadership Training across the Netherlands, France, Germany, and Italy. Don grew up trusting his good works to earn heaven, until an emptiness after college led him to his father’s newfound faith and, soon after, his own. He spent thirty years in the Navy, then left consulting work in 2011 to pursue a D.Min. in Biblical Counseling and teach in churches and prisons.

Elizabeth grew up in a non-Christian home marked by strife. At twenty-two, a coworker’s persistent witness led her to church, where she first heard of a personal relationship with Jesus, and she gave her life to Christ that night. She and Don married in 1979 and have homeschooled all ten of their children.

Don joined BCMW in 2013, traveling with Wayne and Susie Vanderwier on early survey trips to the Netherlands and Hungary. As of February 2026, Don and Elizabeth have twenty grandchildren.
