Dennis & Ivette Pires

Dennis Pires coordinates BCMW’s work in Brazil from Goiânia, the capital of Goiás state, where he serves as co-pastor of Igreja Cristã Evangélica Setor Oeste. He trained in theology at the Seminário Teológico Cristão Evangélico do Brasil and has practiced biblical counseling since 2009, studying through Faith Biblical Counseling Ministry in Lafayette, Indiana, and the Brazilian Association of Biblical Counselors.

Dennis chose BCMW for its fidelity to Scripture combined with a practical, whole-person approach to caring for people, a combination that matches his own vision for ministry. He directs the Centro de Aconselhamento Bíblico, a counseling ministry of his local church, and teaches at the Núcleo de Estudos Bíblicos, training the next generation of biblical counselors.

What Dennis appreciates most about BCMW is its mission to equip pastors and leaders to care for people with biblical fidelity, wisdom, and compassion, a conviction he says has deepened his belief that God’s Word is sufficient for life’s real challenges. Dennis and his wife, Ivette, have three children: Tiffany, David, and Alice.
