Andriy Murzin

Andriy Murzin coordinates BCMW’s work in Ukraine and directs the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling program at Kyiv Theological Seminary, a role he has held since 2022 after joining the seminary’s faculty as assistant program director in 2013. He and his wife, Olya, both grew up in the Soviet Union in atheist families. Andriy came to Christ in 1991 through Campus Crusade missionaries and soon entered full-time ministry in teaching and church-planting. He holds an M.Div. from Ukrainian Biblical Seminary and a Th.M. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.

What Andriy values most about BCMW is its commitment to biblical authority and sufficiency, and to the person’s heart before God, a conviction he says has deepened his own understanding of biblical counseling. Since Russia’s 2022 invasion, much of Andriy and Olya’s ministry has shifted toward serving soldiers, their families, and internal refugees, with Andriy occasionally visiting the front lines as a volunteer chaplain.
