Adrian & Jennifer Martinez

Adrian Martinez coordinates BCMW’s work across Oceania, a role that grew out of years serving as an associate teacher in Fiji and the Australian cities of Melbourne and Brisbane. He became an assistant teacher in 2014 and stepped into the coordinator role in 2017, drawn to BCMW’s shared focus on building biblical counseling ministry within, rather than alongside, the local church.

Adrian now teaches counseling at a Christian college, where he leads the counseling programs and trains church workers at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He supports the development of biblical counseling training at a national level, serves as a resource for churches and pastors across Australia, and supervises counselors in private practice. He is also completing doctoral research in counseling ethics and the counseling relationship.

Adrian and his wife, Jennifer, live in Melbourne with their five teenage children, who have grown up around this ministry. Adrian believes the local church, not a replacement institution, is the right place for counseling ministry, and he welcomes conversations with church leaders wondering where to start.
