Biblical Counseling: How Do You Share It?
Biblical counseling is not meant to remain the ministry of one gifted counselor. BCMW’s Church Leadership Training (CLT) Module 4 turns the focus toward the church as a whole, helping pastors and church leaders develop a culture where personal discipleship and soul care can flourish.
Participants will explore how to prepare a church for this kind of ministry, develop leaders and counselors, respond wisely to requests for care, and establish a biblical counseling and training center that can serve the church and, where appropriate, the surrounding community.
This module follows the process from preparing the soul, to planting & equipping, to managing the harvest. Along the way, it emphasizes the essential role of church leadership, healthy relationships within the Christian community, and the importance of churches helping churches. The goal of this training is to help churches establish a sustainable ministry of care that belongs to the life of the local church rather than depending on one individual or an external organization.
Who is this for?
Module 4 is especially suited to pastors and church leaders who want to move biblical counseling beyond individual conversations and develop a sustainable ministry of personal discipleship within their church.
What should you expect?
This module looks at counseling as a ministry of the whole church. Topics include leadership, developing future soul-care providers, building relationships with other churches, and creating shared models of counseling ministry.
